Becky Fine-Firesheets is a story-teller whose writing has appeared in The Rumpus, MUTHA Magazine, and Serving House Journal, among others. Her short story, The Roof, was nominated for a 2014 Best of the Net Award. In 2018, she was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and in 2020, her short story, 2021, won second place in the Pen Parentis Writing Fellowship contest.
In addition to her writing, Becky is a mama, educator, and activist, and the lead singer/keyboardist in experimental pop-rock duo The Brooklyn Players Reading Society. She loves the beach, books, and food; originally from Kentucky, she’s especially fond of biscuits and gravy.
