Becky Fine-Firesheets’s writing has appeared in Serving House Journal, Mutha Magazine, and Lumen Magazine, among others. Her short story, The Roof, was nominated for a 2014 Best of the Net Award, and an excerpt from her novel Bone Girl was published in YA anthology What Doesn’t Kill You, released in 2018 by Indomita Press. She was also recently nominated for the XLIV Pushcart Prize by a Pushcart Contributing Editor.
In addition to her writing, Becky works at the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies, chases her kid, rescue pets, and moonlights as the lead singer and keyboardist in experimental rock-n-roll duo The Brooklyn Players Reading Society. She loves the beach, books, and food; originally from Kentucky, she’s especially fond of biscuits and gravy.
