I am a New Yorker. I love my city. I am also a Kentuckian and I love my homeland. People in this country have two starkly different views of what America should look like, and this election took those views from the political and philosophical realms to the personal and emotional realms in an unprecedented way. I have so much to say, but I need time to wrap my head around those words before I can write them.
For now, please, be nice. To yourself, to everyone. Just breathe and be peaceful. The only thing that can heal this country is peace. No matter who you voted for, no matter what your views are, just be nice. Do not give into hate. Right now, community is what we need the most.
More to come.
